Caritas Ambassadors
The Caritas Ambassadors are pupils who are witnesses to God’s faith, putting prayers into action and supporting those who are less fortunate. They are responsible for outreach work, supporting local charities and are the voice for change and social action.
The team is comprised of Year 4 pupils, who at the start of the year undertook specialised training from the Diocese of Salford. The Ambassadors discussed which areas of Catholic Social Teaching needed our attention and created an action plan that will raise money and awareness – encouraging ourselves and others into action.
Our Journey so far…
Climate Justice
The Caritas Ambassadors were asked to create a piece of art to help highlight the issues surrounding Climate Justice. The team presented information to their class before discussing a theme for their artwork. Once completed, the image was sent to the Houses of Parliament and was selected to be displayed for all visitors to see during visits to Parliament.

Caritas Sunday
On Caritas Sunday (28th January 2024), the Caritas Ambassadors attended our Parish Church to explain to parishioners the important role Caritas plays in supporting Social Justice locally. Encouraging others to pray for and help support local people experiencing poverty, homelessness and discrimination. The Ambassadors spoke about the work they have already completed and emphasised how we can work together with our parish to support Caritas further.
