Update on Covid-19 and our school community
Dear Parents and Carers,
I know this is a difficult time for you and your families as we continue to face the challenges of Covid-19. It was wonderful to welcome everyone back last Tuesday and school has been a very happy and great place to be!
We have worked hard to ensure the necessary safety measures are in place and cleaning routines firmly established to keep everyone safe.
Yesterday we had a confirmed case of Coronavirus in Year 5 and on the advice of Bolton Public Health the Year 5 Class Bubble had to be closed. All the children and staff in that class bubble (Miss Whittingham and Miss Edwards) were sent home and told to self-isolate for 14 days. The child and their family are in our prayers for a full and speedy recovery.
It is bitterly disappointing that we have had to close a class bubble so soon into the new term but I must emphasise that we have to follow the advice from Public Health.
Please continue to send your child into school, all safety measures will continue to be adhered to and sincere thanks for your continued support.
If there are other confirmed cases in school it will result in other class bubbles being closed for 14 days. I fully appreciate the impact this has for families but we must persevere in order to keep everyone safe and to recover from the pandemic.
In the event of class bubble closures work will be set for the children by their class teacher.
I will continue to keep you updated each week via my Weekly Update on the website and Facebook page.
