Gangster Granny by David Walliams

I think this book is great.  It has humour and lots of laughs in it.  Gangster Granny is cool, wicked, funny and independent.  Her grey hair looks cool too.

Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz

I recommend Stormbreaker because the plot is amazing.  The book and the movie are slightly different (so read the book first).  Your jaw will be dropping at this action packed adventure.  The plot revolves around a 16 year old, Alex Rider, who knows more and can do more than he thinks.  I would rate this book with five stars.  It is suitable for children aged 9+.

Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling

I choose Harry Potter because I love all the characters.  I also really like how the author hooks the reader in and you just want to carry on reading.   It’s a magical story about a magical boy.

Dork Diaries by Rachel Renee Russell

I think Dork Diaries is a really exciting book.  The author uses lots of expression.  I couldn’t put it down once I’d started reading it.

The Demon Dentist by David Walliams

I recommend this book because it is a mixture of threat and worry.  Like the title suggests, it is all based around a slightly mad dentist. The book is suitable for 9+.

Running Wild by Michael Morpurgo

I recommend this extremely exciting story, the climax of the book is not given away in the title.  The book also creates amazing images in your mind.  It has a great beginning that really introduces the story and characters.  It is definitely unpredictable, which makes it very exciting to read.
